Family Counselling

Strengthen your communication and build a healthier family dynamic

At Kapella (previously Relate Birmingham & Black Country), we provide confidential, inclusive family counselling and family therapy delivered by professionally trained relationship experts. Our experienced counsellors support families to improve communication, navigate challenges, and rebuild stronger, more positive relationships.

We offer compassionate support for families experiencing conflict, major life changes, or difficulties between parents, children, siblings, or blended family members. Working collaboratively with you, our counsellors provide family guidance services designed to help your family understand each other better, reduce tension, and move towards lasting, meaningful change.

Who Is Family Counselling For?

Family counselling is helpful for anyone wanting to improve communication, strengthen relationships, or navigate challenges within the family. Our family counselling and family therapy services support:

  • Parents and children experiencing communication difficulties
  • Families facing conflict, tension, or repeated arguments
  • Separated or divorced parents needing guidance on co-parenting
  • Blended families adjusting to new roles, routines, or step-parenting
  • Extended family members wanting to strengthen connections
  • Families coping with bereavement, loss, or major life changes
  • Anyone looking for support for families to create healthier, more positive relationships

Family counselling can involve the whole family, individual members, or specific combinations (such as siblings, parents, or carers), depending on what feels right for you.
