Choose 2 Change (C2C) is a behaviour change programme, designed to help people stop using harmful behaviour towards an intimate partner. With Choose2Change, you can take steps to improve your relationships and create positive change.
What is Choose2Change?
C2C is a DAPP (Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme) aimed at recognising and reducing harmful behaviours in intimate relationships.
Alongside this, we will work with you on developing better relationships with family and friends and increasing self-respect. The ways we will do this are through group programmes and individual sessions.
Am I Using Harmful Behaviours?
Choose2Change is a behaviour change programme designed to help individuals stop using abusive behaviours in intimate relationships. Delivered in a group or one-to-one setting, the programme adapts to your needs with tailored, flexible content. Our programme addresses harmful behaviours such as:
Emotional
harm:
Coercive
control:
Post-separation conflict:
Financial
abuse:
Physical

Stalking and harassment:
Who the Programme is Suitable For
1. You are able to admit that harmful behaviour has been present in your relationship and can identify goals around your own behaviour that you would like support to change
2. You are not currently being investigated for the police for a domestic abuse related or violent offence. You can re-refer once bail conditions are completed or you have been sentenced outside of custody
3. You are not currently or in the last 12 months been through private family law for child contact arrangements (such as a child arrangement order). If social services are involved with your child, you may still be able to take part so please contact the team
4. You are willing to provide your current or ex (if have children with them) partners contact details for us to offer them support whilst you are engaging with the programme

Choose2Change Group Sessions
Since August 2025, we’ve supported people to take real, lasting steps towards a better life for their whole family through weekly group interventions. Our current group programme runs on Tuesday evenings between 6-8.30pm and is our main service offer. The group is rolling, meaning clients are added at different stages. 1-to-1 is offered to clients needing additional support with language or literacy needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
C2C has a separate partner support service that will be offered to your partner or ex-partner. Their consent is a condition of your acceptance onto the programme. This will be discussed further during the assessment process.
C2C is open to adults over the age of 18 who meet the programmes eligibility criteria. Kapella works with, and aims to meet the needs of, people from all ethnic, religious and cultural groups.
Delivery options
- Group delivery is 22 weeks, one 2 hour session per week, online
- 121 delivery is 16 weeks, one 90 minute session per week, either online or face-to-face
- At assessment, the C2C team will decide which delivery option is most appropriate

*Charged in two parts, assessment and then delivery package
- Assessment package (x3 assessments in total) £195
- Delivery package (121 or group) £1585

Self-Referrals
*Charged weekly, one session in advance (options are available to pay monthly if required)
- Assessment package £120
- Group delivery is £60 per session, total of £1320
- 121 delivery is £82.50 per session, total of £1320
- Total cost = £1440

During your first call with us, we will explain how the programme works, discuss what is currently happening in your relationships and consider what goals or changes you would like to make. Together, we will understand if C2C is right for you.
If a professional has referred you to the centre, we will share relevant information with them. If we believe you are a risk to others or yourself, we have a duty of care to share that information with emergency services. We will be clear and honest with you about what information will remain confidential and what may be shared.
