Supporting individuals to address unhealthy behaviours in intimate partner relationships.
The way you behave affects the people you love whether it’s a partner, ex-partner or your children. It may also be impacting you, even if you’re not fully aware of it.
Our behaviour change courses offer an opportunity to change your behaviour and develop relationships which are safe, loving and respectful.
You should never intentionally cause harm to your partner.
We deliver multiple programmes across the West Midlands that challenge individuals to address unhealthy behaviours in relationships.
What are unhealthy behaviours
It’s normal to have disagreements and get into arguments with your partner from time to time. If you’re causing your partner physical or frequent emotional harm, it’s time to seek help.
An unhealthy behaviour is a direct action that intimidates your partner and makes them feel scared or anxious. It could be any of these:
Hitting, kicking, shouting them
Criticising
them
Emotional
abuse
Preventing them from seeing
friends or family
Financial
abuse
How we can help
We hold one-to-one sessions and peer support groups, where people motivate each other to change. Our facilitators offer positive challenge and support without making judgements about how you’ve treated your partner, or what motivated your behaviours.
We encourage story-sharing and cover topics such as trust, negotiation, sexual respect, self respect and child-centred parenting.
Programmes we currently offer are:
